Ace’s first Haircut

Today at Our Barbershop, my cousin brought his son, Ace, in for his very first haircut, and my heart swelled with pride. My journey into specializing in haircuts for children with special needs began with a remarkable young boy named Lewis, affectionately known as Tonk. When his parents reached out, searching for a barber who understood the unique needs of children like him, I felt a spark of connection as soon as I met Lewis. We immediately hit it off, and in that moment, I realized that I had the opportunity to share my passion for barbering in a way that truly mattered. I am endlessly grateful to his parents for placing their trust in me during such an important milestone in Tonk’s life. Their faith opened my eyes to the joy of making a difference, and I am inspired every day by the incredible children I get to work with.

Meet Future Judge Maurice!

My young fifth-grade client, Maurice, is a remarkable kid with an inspiring dream: he wants to become a judge when he grows up. Battling ADHD has been part of his journey, but his parents have made it clear that they won’t let this learning disorder hold him back. Instead, they encourage him to excel in school, instilling in him a belief in his own potential. Today, Maurice stands proud as an honor student, demonstrating incredible dedication and resilience. It’s a joy to work with such a bright, determined young man, and I have no doubt that his future is as promising as his aspirations. Maurice is not just a testament to hard work but a reminder that with support and perseverance, anything is possible.
